Industry heavyweights join io’s growing Houston team.
io oil & gas consulting, an independent venture backed by GE Oil & Gas and McDermott, has enhanced its global team with the announcement of Jeff Measamer as General Manager of Americas, Ed Hernandez as Vice President of Operations and Jerry Toth as Director of Business Development.
Jeff will be overseeing the work in the Americas Region for io’s growing client base, as well as leading the expansion of the new office as io establishes itself in the US. Jeff has joined io from McDermott International, where he was Engineering Director for Americas Europe and Africa, overseeing subsea and facilities engineering across the regions. He has over 30 years’ experience as a multi-discipline manager. During this time he has worked in procurement, manufacturing management, engineering management, project management, quality systems and start-up operations.
He said: “I am thrilled to be heading io’s expansion into the US and look forward to helping the company grow its profile and client base in the region. io is a standout company in the upstream sector, and I am confident that as we expand further into North America our unique offering will be very enticing to operators.”
Ed joins with over 20 years of experience on numerous international and domestic projects in the various energy sectors from oil and gas production and pipelines to power generation. He was most recently responsible for developing new business in Latin America for greenfield oil and gas production projects both offshore and onshore that included all countries in the region from Mexico to Argentina.
Jerry has over 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and business development with extensive contributions to overall business success. He has been based in Houston for a number of years successfully increasing sales for subsea systems, processing equipment and integrated solutions at major key accounts in North America.
io’s CEO Dan Jackson said: “io has experienced steady growth since launching in January 2015 and our recent Houston appointments will help raise our global profile yet further. Houston is an important strategic location for us and we look forward to being closer to our existing clients in the Americas and to supporting new clients in the region.”
The Houston office was set up in the summer of 2015 and is now the base for three new members of the io leadership team. It marks the end of a strong year for io, launching in January, outgrowing its original London office by July and moving to the iconic Shard, and now expanding across the Atlantic.
